The 89th martyrdom day of the dead martyr Chandra Shekhar Azad is being celebrated on 27 February. Azad had his own important role in the freedom struggle. On hearing Azad's name, the first picture of his mustache emerges in his bold picture. He lived his life in the same manner and sacrificed himself in the name of the nation. At the time when Chandrasekhar Azad was studying, the Jallianwala incident happened. After which he joined the 1920 Non-Cooperation Movement. Azad joined Ramprasad Bismil's revolutionary organization Hindustan Republic Association (HRA). His life changed from here. He looted the state exchequer and started raising funds for the revolutionary activities of the organization. He believed that this wealth belongs to Indians, which was looted by the British. Azad took an active part in the Kakori Conspiracy (1925) under the leadership of Ramprasad Bismil.
