How Prosthetic Limbs Work

How Prosthetic Limbs Work

One in every 190 Americans currently lives with a missing limb – an unbelievable statistic. If you’re fortunate enough have all of your limbs, chances are you take them for granted. Just consider the delicate and complex tasks hands perform, such as holding a pen or glass of water or even playing a violin. At the same time, hands have the strength and durability to grip heavy objects. Legs are equally impressive, enabling a person to walk, run and play complex sports and so much more.
